Nestled in the heart of Zanzibar, we offer an unforgettable experience where you can explore stunning lagoons and connect with the majestic sea turtles.
Our mission is to increase the population of sea turtles, as they are among the most endangered species in the world.
We are concerned that future generations may never see these sea turtles, which is why we are committed to their conservation.
How We Contribute to Sea Turtle Conservation:
- Egg Collection & Hatching: We collect sea turtle eggs from the beach and nurture them in a protected environment. Once the baby turtles hatch, we allow them to grow safely for 8 months to one year before releasing them into the sea.
- Rescue & Rehabilitation: Large sea turtles often get caught in fishermen’s nets and sustain injuries. When found, they are brought to us for medical treatment and recovery. Once they are fully healed, we return them to their natural habitat.
